PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening fence and a concrete block for the greening fence capable of shortening time after building the fence until plants grow thick on the fence and easily performing a watering operation just by sprinkling water from the inner side of the fence to the erected surface of the fence. ;SOLUTION: The concrete block 10 for building this greening fence 1 is provided with a concrete block main body 11 provided with a through-hole 11c, a water non-permeable first cylindrical body 12 fitted inside the through-hole and a water permeable second cylindrical body 13 fitted inside the first cylindrical body and filled with a planting base material 14 inside. Then, a groove tilted to a front surface side 11a or a back surface side 11b at the time of a greening fence piled-up state is formed on the inner surface of the first cylindrical body, a water absorbing/water holding material 12b is arranged on the back surface side of the second cylindrical body so as to seal the planting base material and a sealing means for sealing the planting base material is provided on the front surface side of the cylindrical body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
