PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously launch artificial satellites into orbits in different planes by using the attracting force of the moon mainly. ;SOLUTION: A first artificial satellite is released in a point 1 into the sun synchronous orbit 11 and drifted into an orbit 11' by a natural precession as necessary. A second artificial satellite (A) is separated into an elliptical orbit 12 in a point 2, a main propulsion device of the A is ignited, when the A returns in the adjacent to a point 3, and arranges the A into a stand-by orbit 12'. Secondly, the main propulsion device of the A is ignited in the adjacent to a point 4 on the stand-by orbit 12' so as to arrange the A into a moon transition orbit 13. When the A is in a distant position on the moon transition orbit 13, the A receives the attracting action of the moon which is reached a position 18 in a region 5a, enhances the speed out of the orbit plane by a corrected impulse generated by the propulsion system of the A and the attraction action of the moon in the region 5a, and moves into a moon transition orbit 14. Then, a braking impulse is applied to the A using the main engine in a position 6a and lower the altitude in the distant point so as to move the A into a global stationary orbit 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
