PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a gene fragment for immunity which can hardly be set for a problem whose solution is unknown in the process of the optimization of genetic algorithm by obtaining information on a recorded gene as a chromosome ruling unspecialized immunity, generating the chromosome of genetic algorithm, and putting it back to the genetic algorithm. ;SOLUTION: When a problem 40 to be optimized is inputted to the optimizing device, the genetic algorithm 10 performs optimizing calculation. Then an immunity mechanism 50 stored the group of chromosomes as results in a gene pool 20, a splicing part 30 selects the group of chromosomes for generating the group of genes of a next generation stored in the gene pool 20, and a process wherein the immunity mechanism 50 is reflected is performed. Then the group of chromosomes which are processed is transferred to the genetic algorithm 10. Consequently, the maintenance of the diversity of chromosomes by the immunity mechanism 50 and the selectivity by the genetic algorithm 10 are complementarily combined, so that the synergistic effect can be expected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
