AUTOMOBILE REAR-END COLLISION PREVENTING METHOD AND REAR-END COLLISION PREVENTING INDICATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rear-end collision by securing recognition of an inter- vehicle distance to the previous vehicle for a driver on a vehicle running on a general/expressway road by means of a simple means. SOLUTION: An automobile rear-end collision preventing method and a rear- end collision preventing indicator basically use an indicator 1 stuck in the rear part of a vehicle. On the indicator 1, a number 2, whose dimension makes itself visible to a driver on the following running vehicle when an inter-vehicle distance between the two vehicles becomes close to the minimum distance necessary for safety driving, is displayed. The indicator 1 is formed into a sticker, and it is stuck to a rear window or to a vehicle body tail part in usage. A primary color is used for the number 2 so as to improve visibility, and a fluorescent color is used for facilitating a visible check by the driver on the following vehicle during travel in the night. The indicators l for a general road and an expressway are stuck so as to be switched according to the traveling road in usage.
