PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a stock gas for synthesizing dimethyl ether, by which a large amount of the dimethyl ether is produced in high yield at a low cost. ;SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing a stock gas for synthesizing dimethyl ether comprises a coal-gasifying furnace for charging oxygen gas to a coal slurry and burning the coal to produce a coal-gasified gas, a shift reacting part for charging steam to the coal-gasified gas produced at the coal- gasifying furnace to change carbon monoxide included in the coal-gasified gas to carbon dioxide and hydrogen, and a CO₂ and sulfur removing part for removing carbon dioxide and sulfur component from the reacted gas of the shift reacting part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
