PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the retrieval frequency of a home network by a mobile station. ;SOLUTION: A mean value of a time interval from selection of a cell to selection of other cell again is calculated (S10). When an arithmetic value of a mean time interval for cell selection is a prescribed first value (e.g. 30min) or below, home network retrieval frequency corresponding to the calculated mean time interval of cell selection is decided (S14). On the other hand, when the mean time interval for cell selection is larger than the 1st value, a home network retrieval frequency corresponding to the 1st value is decided (S16).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
