PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the protective net for an orchard, etc., improved to surely prevent the invasion of halmful insect from a gap generated at a place where the upper tip of a surrounding net is in contact with a ceiling net. ;SOLUTION: In a matter obtained by combining the surrounding net 3 surrounding a protecting area such as the orchard and the ceiling net 1 covering the open top face of the surrounding net, insect return pieces 3A of a prescribed height size are successively provided and these pieces 3A are bent to the outer side of the protecting area to form a gap (a) for returning insects between with the net 3.
