METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECIDING CIRCUIT BOARD REFERENCE MARK FOR MOUNTING COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting apparatus which has a processor which is coupled with a mounting arm, a conveyor and two cameras. ;SOLUTION: In a mounting apparatus 1, a mounting arm 3 mounts a component on the component surface 6 of a circuit board 5. Two mirrors 10 and 11 which have angles so as to face the standard surface 7 of the circuit board 5 are coupled with two cameras 8 and 9. When the circuit board 5 is positioned and the two cameras 8 and 9 start the detection of a standard mark on the standard surface 7, the mounting arm 3 also starts the transfer of the component in order to mount a next component on the circuit board 5. A processor 2 decides a reference mark for the control of the arm 3 in order to mount the component on the circuit board 5 after the standard mark is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
