PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit an eaves arabesque for a metal roof plate to the edge of the eaves with simple work and prevent rainwater from falling over a rain gutter down to the edge side. ;SOLUTION: This eaves arabesque 10 is provided with a plane part 12 extended parallelly to the surface of a sheathing roof board 1 or a slate plate 3 for laying plates 2, 6 thereon, a vertical part 13 brought into contact with the front end face of the sheathing roof board 1 or slate plate 3, a bent part 11 bent from the plane part 12 so as to be parallel to the vertical part 13, an elastic locking part 14 provided at the tip of the bent part 11, and a locking part 16 raised from the plane part 12 in a position near the vertical part 13 and bent onto the eaves edge side. The locking part 16 is engaged with an inward protruding part 7 provided on the lower end side of the eaves side roof plate 6. The bent part 11 if future bent to form a throating part, which can also cover an existing throating. The lower edge of the eaves side roof plate engaged with the eaves arabesque 10 is positioned at the center part of a rain gutter fitted to a verge-board or above the verge-board side from the center part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
