PURPOSE:To improve the tracking performance with respect to an external signal with different frequency band by connecting the 2nd variable capacity element to the 1st varactor element and switching the capacitance of the 2nd variable capacity element in response to the frequency band of an external signal. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch 37 is switched depending whether the reproduction mode of a magnetic tape of a digital VTR is the review(REV), the standard(ST) or the CUE mode. Then three characteristic curves of the oscillation frequency with respect to a voltage applied to the varactor diode 29 of the oscillator 24 are provided. The three characteristic curves are nearly straight lines and parallel with each other, and the regions REV, ST, CUE of the change in the oscillating frequency with respect to the change in the voltage fed to the oscillator 24 based on the frequency change in each external signal are in the stable region and the center voltage of each change voltage is made coincident. Thus, the tracking performance with respect to an external signal with a different frequency band is improved.
