PURPOSE: To increase the resonance frequency of vertical vibration of the engine emission assembly of a transverse engine. ;CONSTITUTION: In the engine emission assembly of a transverse engine, an engine crank shaft 20 and a differencial drive shaft 22 are set to nearly same positions in vertical direction of the engine. In this way, the center of gravity of the engine is made to agree with that of a differential device with regard to the positions in engine height direction. It is, thus possible to eliminate influence of swinging vibration of the mass of a differencial case 16 so as to increase the resonant frequency of the engine emission assembly in the longitudinal direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
