PURPOSE:To easily perform the data retrieval of another page and the display of the retrieved result concerning the circuit diagram preparing device (CAD device.) CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a circuit diagram data base file 1 to store circuit data at every page, net file preparing means 2 to prepare a net file for making the page of a circuit diagram containing a pertinent signal name for every signal name from the circuit diagram data base file 1 correspond to a coordinate for displaying the signal name on that page, and net file 3, a circuit diagram preparing means is provided with a means to prepare the signal name information of the circuit diagram, signal name and page containing the signal name by referring to the circuit diagram data base file 1 and the net file 3 based on data inputted from a data input means 7, and a display processing means 10 is provided with a means to display the circuit diagram and the signal name information prepared by the circuit diagram preparing means 4 and means to display the referred circuit diagram on a circuit diagram display picture.
