PURPOSE: To produce the structural protein of Morbillivirus by synthesizing a recombined poxvirus having a DNA sequence encoding the structural protein of the Morbillivirus and further having an element expressing the protein in the non-essential portion of a genome. ;CONSTITUTION: A mammalian cell infected with a recombined poxvirus having at least one DNA sequence coding all or a part of at least one structural protein of Morbillivirus and further having an element surely expressing the protein in one or several non-essential portions of the genome is synthesized. The animal cell is cultured to produce all or a part of the structural protein of the Morbillivirus.
