PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly retrieve the information on a necessary execution history and also to reduce the hardware resources by storing only the address data of the information data on the necessary execution history into a real-time trace memory. SOLUTION: A source separation program retrieves a source program and separates a character string that is designated by a key word from other character strings. Then the address data on the designated character string are stored in a real-time trace memory 13 only when the address data are coincident with the designated address data stored in a designated address memory 15. Then the address data are read out by an execution history information reading circuit 17 when the address data are stored in the memory 13 after the source separation program is executed. The address data read out of the memory 13 are converted into the corresponding character string and outputted to a display device 18.
