PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely easily control equilibrium in the electrolyte of a feed for a cow in a dry-up period without inhibiting the taste and without changing the amt. of feed by adding a controlling agent prepared by adding anionic salt to a feed source material containing chlorine and sulfur to the feed to be fed. SOLUTION: A controlling agent is prepared by adding anionic salt (B) (such as magnesium sulfate and potassium chloride) to a feed source material (A) containing chlorine and sulfur as anion elements. The obtd. agent is mixed with the fed to be fed to cause anionic changes in a cow. As for the component (A), a mixture of barley distiller soluble and soybean whey concentrate is preferably used. The period of anionic changes is preferably controlled to over 20 days. It is preferable to maintain pH in rumina to =5.5 and not to suppress growth of bacteria in rumina. For example, when a cow in a period of no production of milk takes 10kg dry feed a day, the controlling agent is preferably added by 0.3 to 2% calculated as soybean whey and.
