PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form uniform beads by preventing the flow of the molten metal of a fusion pool caused in the case of moving a welding torch from a flat surface to a curved surface part. ;SOLUTION: In the case of continuously welding a rectangular column 1 having the flat surface part 1a and an arc like corner part 1b, the welding torch 4 is moved to the flat surface part terminal M2 along the flat surface part 1a to weld the flat surface part 1a, the welding torch 4 is successively moved from the flat surface part terminal part M2 along the corner part 1b to weld the range of the stationary curved surface welding angle of 5°-40° from the flat surface part terminal M2 to a stationary curved surface welding terminal M3, then the column 1 is rotated by 90° around the column axial center O. The welding torch 4 is simultaneously moved corresponding to the movement of the welding point in the corner part 1b during the rotation of the weld up to the terminal M4 of the corner part 1b.
