PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load overvoltage protective device which eliminates a malfunction caused by a sharp decrease of load current and which operates rapidly and has a high reliability and a high operability. ;SOLUTION: A load overvoltage protective device 10 has an overvoltage detecting section 62 which outputs a power supply stop signal 'a' when it detects overvoltage of the load voltage Vt, a power supply stopping section 64 which stops the supply of power to a load 54 from a power supply 52 by the power supply stop signal 'a', a load current detecting section 12 which outputs a power supply continuing signal 'b' when it detects a sharp decrease of load current It in the load 54, and a power supply continuing section 14 which continues the supply of power to the load 54 from the power supply 52 by the power supply continuing signal 'b' output from the load current detecting section 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
