A screen display processing library (DLL) including an individual processing unit for each screen which defines the displayed contents and the contents of setting and controlling of data which a numerical control apparatus uses, and a common processing unit for the change of screen is registered for each screen, the whole of the screen display processing library (DLL) is read out on a memory managed by the OS, the location of each screen display processin g library (DLL) is managed by an individual identification code by a screen managing table, a screen change request is accepted under the starting of a screen change executing program (MMI) application main module, a screen display processing library (DLL) corresponding to the identification code designated by the screen change request is selected based on the data in the screen managing table, and the screen change by the selected screen display processing library (DLL) is executed. Accordingly, screen change in a personal computer-incorporated numerical control apparatus is carried out at a high speed.
