The invention relates to a method for exchanging information in an identification/communication system between a detection station and at least one tag, the detection station, by emitting an activation signal, activating switching means in the tag, which switching means switch on processor means, whereupon the detection station generates identification commands, collision commands, sleep commands, stop commands, alias commands, read commands and write commands. The invention further relates to a system for application of the method, and a detection station and a tag for use in the system. The invention also relates to a method for identifying different tags by a detection station in an identification/communication system, the detection station emitting an identification command and at least two tags each sending back an identification response with a particular response probability, whereupon the detection station emits a collision command which reduces the response probability, and the tags each send back a collision response with a reduced response probability, which collision command is repeated until one collision response is received, whereupon another identification command follows which increases the response probability.
