FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring cornea thickness in the center, determining ophthalmometric characteristics in hard and weak meridians, measuring eyeball length. Cornea thickness in the center being greater than 500 mcm, ophthalmometric characteristics in hard meridian being greater than 40.0 D and in weak meridian being greater than 37.0 D, eyeball length being greater than 26.5 mm, high myopia correction by means of superficial cornea layer evaporation with ultraviolet laser radiation and correction of myopic astigmatism of medium and high degree of severity by applying keratotomy are considered to be indicated. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of treatment selection.
