The classifier has a dispersal board (29) and a separator (39) with vanes (41). The dispersal board and the separator are independently driven by separate drive units (46,48) through a hollow shaft (26) and an inner shaft (35). Raw material is input into the classifier through an insertion mouth (3) provided above the dispersal board. The raw material falling onto the dispersal board gets finally dispersed. The rotating separator functions like a blower and sucks powder of minute particles (20). Minute powder is expelled through a tube (22). Coarse powder (9) settles down at the bottom of the classifier under gravity.
