The received side band of a desired transmitter is equalised by compensation such that the overlap-free extreme side band of a mixt. of intersecting two-side band oscillation is frequency converted to the other side reversal with a negative sign. Thus the transmitter second side band of the immediately neighbouring channel is freed from overlaps. The equalised side band is then negatively reversed onto the other side of the above channel such that the outer channel side band is equalised in-front of the channel. The negative reversals are continued up to the reception of a single-side band of the desired transmitter. ADVANTAGE - Min. cost for mixers and filters, and without band cutting for reproduced LF.
