PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective tube which is applicable to an existing established line, enhance its waterproof property, and improve the work execution property also. ;SOLUTION: This protective tube 15 is for the sheath insulating part of a power cable fitted with a metallic sheath which is installed, covering the sheath insulating part for insulating the sheath of a power cable and is made of divisions 15a and 15b which are made by dividing the protective tube in its peripheral direction into plural pieces, and also engaging pieces 16 and 17 which are turned up inward at the adjacent junction edges of these divisions 15a and 15b and engaged with each other and are slidable in the longitudinal direction are made, and sealing members 18 and 19 are interposed between these engaging pieces 16 and 17, and the divisions 15a and 15b are arranged in a pipe form or tubular form, with their engaging pieces 16 and 17 formed on these which are engaged to each other, at the periphery of the sheath insulating part. The protective tube 15 is used for this sheath interrupter for a power cable fitted with a metallic sheath.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
