PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely fit the focus of a collimator to a reflecting prism by a collimator autofocus mechanism by reflecting the light incident from the incident surface in the same direction by a reflecting member, and transmitting the light of a first wavelength area and interrupting the light of a second wavelength area by a wavelength selective transmitting layer. ;SOLUTION: The direction of a collimator is regulated depending on the image seen through the collimator, a reflecting prism unit 15 is put within its field of view, and the outer surface 30a of a filter 30 is superposed on the center of the field of view. The center of a cross line formed on the focus surface of the collimator is conformed to the center of a cross line 32 formed on the outer surface 30a of the filter 30 to precisely fit the collimation line to the central axis O1 of a corner cube 21. The filter for transmitting range finding modulated light and interrupting visual light is provided, whereby the coilimator is prevented from being focused to the image of an autofocus light wave range finer itself projected on the corner cube 21 in the collimation of the corner cube 21, and a precise collimation can be performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
