PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cationic emulsion composition with large particle size, excellent in both polymerization and storage stability, and to obtain an ink jet printing sheet having the following advantages: affording high print denseness and round print dots with uniform expanse, causing no blur, giving clear and high resolution, good in ink settability and high in water resistance. ;SOLUTION: This cationic emulsion composition is obtained by radical copolymerization between a tertiary and/or quaternary amino group-contg. radical-polymerizable monomer and a polymerizable monomer copolymerizable therewith in an aqueous emulsion of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The objective ink jet printing sheet is obtained by including the above emulsion composition in the white pigment layer, specular layer or intermediate layer of an ink jet printing sheet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
