SLAG REDUCING AGENT AND PRODUCTION OF CENTRIFUGAL MOLDED PRODUCT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide slag reducing effects even by adding a small amount of bentonite by including a water-reducing admixture and the bentonite having a specific degree of swelling as principal components. SOLUTION: This slag reducing agent consists essentially of a water-reducing admixture and a bentonite having =35 degree of swelling [according to the American Colloid Company(A.C.C.) method]. A high-performance water-reducing admixture is preferably used as the water-reducing admixture and a polyalkylallylsulfonic salt, a melamine formalin resin sulfonic salt, etc., are cited as the high-performance water-reducing admixture. When the high performance water-reducing admixture is used, the amount thereof used is preferably 0.3-2.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. cement expressed in terms of solid content and the amount of the bentonite used is preferably at most 5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. cement. The bentonite is preferably used together with an inorganic powder such as a clay mineral, e.g. acid clay, activated clay, clay, zeolite or tale, a fine powder collected in a bag filter at the time of pulverizing diatomaceous earth or fused silica and having about 60 m maximum particle diameter or a siliceous material, e.g. silica fume or aerosil.
