PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the unconfined compression-strength estimating method of a soil improved body by a forepiling construction method, by which the unconfined compression strength of the prepared soil improved body is determined simply and easily and can be controlled during the execution of works of forepiling. ;SOLUTION: The unconfined compression strength of the soil improved body 14 prepared by the forepiling construction method is estimated during the execution of works of the forepiling construction method. The replacement ratio of soil particles and a hardener in the soil improved body 14 is obtained by measuring the specific gravity of slime discharged during the preparation of the soil improved body 14 at that time, the obtained replacement ratio is applied to the correlation of the beforehand acquired replacement ratio and the unconfined compression strength of the soil improved body 14, and the unconfined compression strength of the soil improved body 14 is estimated during the execution of works.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
