PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longitudinally ventilated hen house capable of smoothly switching the inner ventilation of the hen house to control temperature at the air intake port of the hen house and temperature at the air exhaust port as equally as possible in summer and winter. ;SOLUTION: This longitudinally ventilated hen house is obtained by, if necessary, attaching cooling pads 4 to air intake ports 3 and 3a, disposing air ways 8 communicating with outer air on the upper insides of both the side walls in the longitudinal direction of the hen house, disposing air intake ports 9 and auxiliary air intake ports 10 in the air ways, respectively, and disposing air intake-controlling mechanisms on the air intake ports 9 and the auxiliary air intake ports 10, respectively. The air intake-controlling mechanisms are opened or closed in response to the sensed temperatures of sensors disposed at places near to the air intake ports and the auxiliary air intake ports. In summer, the air intake ports 9 and 10 are perfectly closed, and only air which is, if necessary, cooled with the cooling pads is taken from the air intake portions 3, 3a. In winter, the air intake ports 3, 3a are perfectly shut, and air is taken only from the air intake ports 9, 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
