SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT ARRANGED WITH THERMAL POWER PLANT AND COAL-CONTAINING SLUDGE FLUIDIZED FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an enormous treating cost necessary for the waste disposal of a sewage sludge and to effectively utilize the sewage sludge as urban circulation energy by using a coal-containing sludge dehydrated cake, which is obtained by dehydrating after mixing a powdered coal with the sludge, as a fuel for a thermal power plant arranged side by side. SOLUTION: In a process for treating the sewage sludge produced from the usual sewage treatment plant, the coal-containing sludge dehydrated cake having =60% average water content is obtained by incorporating the powdered coal 2-10 times more than the solid material of the sewage sludge. A method for incorporating the powdered coal in the sewage sludge is by dehydrating after adding the powdered coal into the sewage sludge or adding the powdered coal after dehydrating the sewage sludge to obtain the coal-containing sludge dehydrated cake having =60% average water content. The coal-containing sludge dehydrated cake is dry, crumbly and massive and is used for the fuel for the thermal power plant arranged with the sewage treatment plant. As a result, the production cost of power is reduced by half and the fuel cost for thermal power becomes needles s to obtain low cost power.
