PURPOSE: To produce a high yield ratio type hot rolled high strength steel plate containing specific amounts of retained austenite and excellent in formability and spot weldability. ;CONSTITUTION: The high yield ratio type hot rolled high strength steel plate has a composition which contains, by weight, 0.05-0.16% C, 0.5-3.0% Si, 0.5-3.0% Mn, ≤0.02% P, ≤0.01% S, 0.005-0.10% Al, and Fe as an essential component and where (Si+Mn) is regulated to 1.5 to 6.05, and further, this steel plate has a microstructure consisting of three phases of ferrite, bainite, and retained austenite. Moreover, in this steel plate, the occupancy ratio of ferrite (VF) to the grain size of ferrite (dF) is regulated to ≥20 and the occupancy ratio of retained austenite of ≤2μm is regulated to ≥5%, and also, this steel plate has a yield ratio (YR) of ≥60%, a strength-ductility balance [(tensile strength)×(total elongation)] of ≥2000(kgf/mm2.%), a spreading ratio (d/d0) of ≥1.4, and a uniform elongation of ≥15%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
