PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out an analysis of the plasticity of a structure using the finite element method in a short time without repetitive calculation or complicated calculation. ;SOLUTION: Data on the correlation between stress σ and strain ε is taken in from a stress-strain curve (S5). The elastic limit load FA in an elastic deformation area is calculated from the correlation data (S8), the elastic modulus EB in a plastic deformation area up to a maximum load Fa is approximated with a straight line according to the correlation data (S11), and further respective elements are sorted into an element group A which exceeds strain εA where plastic deformation starts when the maximum load Ff is placed and another element group B are sorted (S9). Those results are used to carry out linear analyses (S14, S15) of the elastic deformation area and plastic deformation area by using the finite element method, and the analytic results of the both are added together (S16).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
