PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heald loom hardly requiring use of a high power motor and reinforcement of the whole parts of a drivetrain even if, especially, a large- scale dobby having a heavy heald frame and rotating at high speed is used. ;SOLUTION: This heald loom 1 has at least one sensor 7 or 8 for detecting an actually present torque on a drivetrain. The sensor 7 or 8 is arranged along a part of the drivetrain positioned at a region between the loom 1 and a dobby 2, or either one of the terminal region of the loom 1 or the terminal region of the dobby 2 neighboring to the region, connected to a controlling system 9. Further, the control system 9 drives an auxiliary-driving device 6 so that at least either one of the torque present between the loom 1 and the dobby 2 and change of rotating velocity may be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
