PURPOSE: To shorten a processing time by transmitting a buffer invalidating request to a corresponding scalar system unit at the time of a serialize request from a vector unit, and then transmitting the notice of the serialize completion to the origin of the request. ;CONSTITUTION: A serialize control part 50 provided in a main storage controller 16 of an A system receives the serialize request from a vector unit 10 of its own system, transmits the buffer invalidating request to a scalar system unit 12 of its own system, and transmits the notice of the serialize completion to the origin of the request. At that time, the serialize request from the vector unit 10 is transmitted from the main storage controller 16 of the A system also to a serialize control 50 provided in a main storage controller 16 of a B system. Thus, the generation of an unnecessary interlock at the time of making the serialize request from the vector unit 10 only to the scalar system unit 12 of its own system, can be prevented, so that the deterioration of a performance can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
