Into the mold 6 for each strand, the molten metal 2 is poured from each of the independent feed nozzles 8A, 8B in a tundish 4 for common use, respectively. An oscillation device 10 and cast billet drawing device 14 for each mold 6 are cooperated with the other mold to execute the same control. In each mold 6, the electromagnetic stirring devices 18A, 18B are arranged at outside just below center part of the mold and at side wall of the mold respectively, and by stirring the molten metal 2 at center part of the mold under at least 20cm/sec flow velocity, separating point for each strand is possible to control to =50mm the max. displacement just below the feed nozzle 8A, 8B, and adverse effect to the quality of the cast billet is not exerted.
