PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the display of a symbol mark of a ship or navigation data on PPI display because of a mistake based on reflection from a land area in a ship radar device. SOLUTION: Electronic chart data around an own ship are read from an electronic chart data storage unit 2 by means of an electronic chart, data reading unit 3 so as to be fed to a land cutoff gate generating unit 4, in which a cutoff gate signal is generated in a time position corresponding to a land part in the direction of an antenna at that time for each transmission sweep by means of a transmission cycle trigger and an antenna direction signal separately inputted. The cutoff gate signal is sent to a radar target detection unit 5, in which target detection processing is prohibited in the time position related to the cutoff gate, so that the detection of target from a land area is prevented.
