PURPOSE: To control the film uniformity of a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet and the deterioration in its magnetic properties by extracting samples from a sheet subjected to decarburization and primary recrystallization annealing, executing pickling in prescribed conditions and measuring its dissolving loss. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of producing a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet, a steel sheet subjected to cold rolling into a desired final sheet thickness is subjected to continuous annealing in a wet hydrogen atmosphere and is subjected to decarburization and primary recrystallization. Samples are extracted from this steel sheet, pickling is executed at about 0.5 to 20 concn. at about room temp. to 80°C for about several seconds to several minutes by using acid such as HCl, H2SO4, HNO3 and H3PO4 and its dissolving loss is measured. Thus the film uniformity of the grain-oriented silicon steel sheet and its magnetic properties can more surely and swiftly be evaluated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
