PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy in sensing the weight by incorporating such an arrangement that the distance of the axis of a leaf spring to the spring mounting surface of a chassis is the same as its distance to the spring mounting surface of a table, locating the axis of the leaf spring on the same axis as the center of the load, and thereby allowing the table to sink horizontally by this load. CONSTITUTION:The chassis 1 of a weight sensing device is secured to the bottom of an inner vessel 10, and a rice boiling heater 11 is mounted in a heater hold-down hole 8 bored in a table 5. Therein the center of the heater 11 is put identical to the center of a leaf spring 3, the distance wherefrom to the leaf spring mounting surface 2 of the chassis 1 shall be the same as the distance (x) to the leaf spring mounting surface 6 of the table 5. Accordingly the weight of the rice to be boiled accommodated in an inner pan 12 produces deflection of an angle theta to the leaf spring mounting surface 2 of the chassis 1, while the leaf spring mounting surface 6 of the table 5 bends the tip of the leaf spring 3 for an angle theta' to provide theta=theta'. This signifies that the table 5 sinks horizontally by the load, that should enhance the accuracy in sensing the weight.
