The present invention relates to the production of vegetable fuels (also known as biodiesel) by esterifying waste vegetable oil to use soybean oil, which is vegetable oil, as fuel for diesel engines. In general, waste cooking oil is reused repeatedly, which is high in acid value and high in impurities, which can lead to secondary environmental pollution in burning or disposal. The present invention provides a method for producing biodiesel having a performance similar to that of a diesel fuel by esterifying the waste cooking oil with methanol or ethanol using caustic soda as a catalyst under air or nitrogen atmosphere as a means for reusing the waste cooking oil as a resource . Biodiesel fuel oil is less toxic than petroleum fuel or natural gas and is a clean fuel because it produces less pollutants such as soot.
