METHOD FOR INVESTIGATION OF GEOLOGICAL MASSES SUBJECTED TO LANDSLIDE OCCURRENCES

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to civil and industrial construction and can be used in building and reconstruction of bridges, for investigating conditions of geological masses including slopes and hillsides. Method implies exploring geological masses in given depths, determining strength, porous pressure and uniformity of engineering and geological components including weakened zones with subsequent selection of surface sliding and calculation of stability coefficient. Geological mass is investigated in cycles. Additionally measured for each cycle is temperature of geological mass being investigated. Plotted according to results of cycle measurements are geological fields. Using principle of superpositioning, determined are surfaces of sliding and calculated are statistic evaluations of strength, porous pressure, uniformity and temperature. In case of reduced statistic evaluations of strength, increased statistic evaluations of porous pressure, increased dimensions of weakened zones by not less than 10%, interval between cycles is reduced by half. In addition, according to method, intervals between cycles can be not longer than three months which corresponds to one season of year. Application of aforesaid method allows for widening potentialities of investigation with determining evolution of formation and development of landslides with simultaneous increasing reliability of investigation due to taking account of temperature of geological mass being investigated.
