The method operates on transmitting and receiving sections of the telecommunication interfaces (DIFS,DIPS). In the transmitting section the Network Layer (NWK) conventionally conveys ISDN Layer 2/Layer 3 and DECT control information to a queue (WSD) in the Data Link Control (DLC) layer. A controller (STE) measures the length of the queue and stimulates the Medium Access Control layer (MAC) and DLC layers. Until a threshold is attained the message is held in another queue (WSS) for transmission on a second channel (Cs). Then a third queue (WSF) awaits transmission on the first channel (Cf).
