The lower section of the metal shears comprises a cornered housing (17) which is open at the top and bottom, and which has round corners. On one side the housing has an inwards open protrusion (18) provided with an axial hole (19) and to which is externally connected or upon which acts a rigid lever (15). A similarly shaped upper section has a neck protruding on one side and with a mounting hole, and upon it acts a lever. The upper and lower sections are interconnected by a pin fitting in the respective mounting holes.
