PURPOSE: To obtain a bulb of a lily subjected to dwarfing treatment, providing uniform plant length in an even degree of dwarfing, without needing any treatment and specific control after planting and requiring skill at all by germinating a bulb of lily, immersing the germinated bulb of lily in a dwarfing agent. ;CONSTITUTION: A bulb of a lily kept in cold storage is thawed, heated by stages and germinated by heating at 20°C for 10 days. The bulb of a lily germinated by this treatment is immersed in a dwarfing agent containing 25ppm uniconazole for 60 minutes, planted in soil useful for common culture of lily in a flowerpot and cultured at room temperature. Consequently, dwarfing can be carried out only by immersing the germinated bulb of lily in the dwarfing agent in a short time before the bulb is planted, the plant length can be uniformed without needing any treatment and specific control after planting and requiring skill, the dwarfed bulb of lily is planted in a flowerpot and cultured in a room to give the dwarfed lily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
