Atmospheric pollution is treated by bubbles of air or another gas. The bubbles are produced by a rotating perforated drum (4), partially submerged in a bath (2) of water and surface active ingredients (3). The drum is turned by a motor, and air or gas is supplied inside the drum. The gas passes through the perforations, after they have picked up a skin of liquid, forming bubbles.
