PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase synchronization error correction system for remote communication where a transmission efficiency is improved or frequencies are utilized effectively. ;SOLUTION: This system is provided with a feedback loop that is used to roughly correct an output timing in accordance with a reference timing received for a communication satellite 1 by a ground station 2 in the case of initial synchronization of its timing and also in accordance with distance information stored in advance in a distance rough information section 25, to provide the output timing to the communication satellite 1 in a prescribed format, to compare with the reference timing the output timing detected from the signal in the prescribed format received by the communication satellite 1 and corrected roughly, to send the difference to the ground station 2 as error information, and to apply fine correction to the output timing, based on the error information received by the ground station 2. The distance information may be obtained by position information that is sent/received between the communication satellite 1 and other satellites, and the communication satellite 1 detects a timing outside of a prescribed range of the information signal and uses correction required information to conduct the initial synchronization.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
