PURPOSE: To perform respective procedures such as the opening of a sealed envelope and the alingning of the front and rear and top and bottom before the envelope is processed in an optical character reading device, by a mechanical process. ;CONSTITUTION: The title device is equipped with a sealed envelope opening mechanism 9 to open a sealed envelope 41, a content take-out mechanism 11 to take out a folded content 31 in the sealed envelope, a content fold-back mechanism 19 to fold back the folded content and a mark reading device 20. A bar code mark which is provided on the content 31 is read, and the front and rear, and the top and bottom of the content 31 are adjusted, and the contents 31 are accumulated and aligned in the same direction and sent to the next stage for the clerical process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
