New AlF3 fluoride glass

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide stable fluoride glass transmitting various rays ranging from visible light to IR rays, having considerably more excellent mechanical strength and chemical resistance than those of ZBLAN, capable of containing a large amount of rare earth metal ions, and difficult to crystallize. ;CONSTITUTION: The purpose of this invention can effectively be achieved by producing an IR ray-transmitting glass containing 3-45mol.% of PbF₂, 5-37mol.% of AlF₃, 14-37mol.% of YbF₃, 3-22mol.% of ZnF₂, 3-22 mol.% of BaF₂, 0-32mol.% of ZrF₄, 0-16mol.% of CaF₂, 0-5mol.% of MgF₂, 0-10mol.% of MnF₂, 0-7mol.% of LaF₃ and 0-6mol.% of LiF or NaF.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
