PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal foil for a collector provided with through holes formed and disposed so as to be able to increase a rate of hole area to enhance adhesion of an active material, the collector and a manufacturing method for the metal foil for the collector capable of easily forming those through holes. ;SOLUTION: As for this manufacturing method, in metal foil for a collector having a plurality of through holes 1, 2 with the longest hole diameters of D1, D2 of not less than 1.55 mm, a rate of hole area of not less than 40% and a thickness of not less than 5 μm and not more than 200 μm, the peripheral rim shapes to form the through holes D1, D2 have two almost straight lines 11, 12, 21, 22, and these two almost straight lines 11, 12, 21, 22 crosses each other on their extended lines so as to make sharp angles α,β, and thereby, corner parts 13, 23 are formed.
