CORRUGATED STEEL PLATE WEB GIRDER AND CONSTRUCTION OF CORRUGATED STEEL PLATE WEB GIRDER BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by providing reinforcing round steel bars having a screw type jack at the upper and lower edges of a corrugated steel plate web of a box-shaped girder provided with upper and lower concrete floor slabs. ;SOLUTION: Two rows of reinforcing round bars 14, 15 are welded to the mutual crests and the mutual bottoms of the upper edge 12 and the lower edge 13 of the steel plate 11 web repeatedly forming the crests and the bottoms in the longitudinal direction of a girder to secure a horizontal rigidity of the web 12. A turnbuckle 21 is fitted to the round bars 14, 15 to constitute a corrugated steel plate web girder 10 for an overhung girder bridge construction. Then, bolt holes are formed at the right and left ends of the web for joint bolt holes for the web of a continuous girder block. Further, reinforcements are inserted in holes formed in the vicinity of the upper and lower edges of the web and embedded in the concrete floor slab to unify the web and the concrete floor slab. On executing the bridge, the turnbuckle 21 is turned to extend or contract the length of the round bars 14, 15 to vary the longitudinal length of the corrugation of the steel plate 11. In this way, the vertical deflection and the upward warf of the corrugated steel plate web girder can be corrected and the bend in the horizontal inplane of the axis of the girder bridge can be imparted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
