PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirmation method, for a gas mixture in the measurement of a gas flow rate by using a gas trace method, in which the mixing degree of exhaust gas with helium gas can be confirmed. ;SOLUTION: A sampling flow passage which is used to supply a sample gas to a gas analyzer 11 is connected to an exhaust flow passage which communicates with an internal-combustion engine 2. A trace gas analyzer 10 which measures the concentration of a trace gas is installed on the downstream side from respective sampling positions A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 in the sampling flow passage. The trace gas is injected from either a first injection position V on the upstream side of the internal-combustion engine 2 or a second injection position P in the exhaust flow passage on the upstream side from the sampling positions. On the basis of the injection amount of the trace gas and on the basis of the concentration of the trace gas, the flow rate of an exhaust gas from the internal-combustion engine 2 is measured. The sampling positions are set so as to be movable, the trace gas is injected from the second injection position P, and the flow rate of the exhaust gas according to the respective positions is measured in every constant-speed running mode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
