PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always accurately detect a supporting state by preventing the erroneous detection of the supporting state by using the output of a blurring detecting means during specified operation. ;SOLUTION: This detector possesses supporting state detecting means #16, #17 and #20-#22 detecting the supporting state of a camera based on the detected result of the blurring detecting means (as a blurring sensor, for instance, an angular velocity sensor) detecting a blurring state and a supporting state detecting controlling means #18 temporarily interrupting the detecting operation of the supporting state by detecting that the specified operation of the camera is started.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
